And AFTER...

Our kitchen BEFORE -

And AFTER (I feel like Grover - "Near... (trot trot trot trot trot) and FAR!").

We hope you find more humour in this than we did. I have no before shot of our stairwell in its hideously drab gray of nothingness, but I do have a photo of halfway through.
We switched cans, but that shouldn't have mattered because it was the same colour, right? AND we were using it on a brand new wall, not one we had finished. Well, one hallway wall needed a touch-up, so we did. It was lighter - I then realized the only solution would be to
repaint the hallway. But before I did that, I rolled the stairwell. See the lines? Well, the joke was on us. The can must not have been well mixed, because you are looking at dried paint that doesn't match from the same can. I had to repaint the entire stairwell also. At least all of those times on the ladder (Aslynn = "the up & down") gave us the excuse to change the light bulb that has been burned out for a year on our ceiling fan that no longer turns to accentuate our now 'flawless' case of stairs.

Waaaay to much to post or paint all at once. We had to finish before all of our company showed up this weekend. Jon & Anemone were here for supper (it's been ages!) and Bryan & Ruth stayed the night before going to the American Consulate.
Also, Aslynn's room got a touch-up, which is another somewhat teary-eyed experience. I must mention that Faith still has a black spot on her knee from repainting our mantle and shelves. We used Tremclad and BOY was that strong stuff! I think we had headaches for a day after. I suppose you're supposed to use that junk outside....We survived. Barely. I have more pics to share, but you'll have to be patient. This takes me awhile!

PS - Credit Faith for most of the blood, sweat, and tears put into this - AND Lindy who made us feel like we needed to. Thanks.
Just kidding Lindy. We've wanted to do this the whole 2 years we've lived here.

Lookin' good!
I love the living room colors.
And the grover comment put me over the edge...HA!
I resent that! I NEVER ment to make you feel like you should paint...I actually thought it looked quite nice. The new paint is a nice spruce up though...good work! - Lindy
great job guys. you know now you can come help me with our painting. Ha HA
Lindy we were just kidding. I didn't even remember you making any comments about the paint when you were here. But we had Shawn over last week and he told us you were feeling like it was your fault we were painting. So we just couldn't resist teasing a little.
Good job you guys! I remember when you came over last you were feeling inspired to paint...didn't know you'd act so fast. Looks good!
