I thought being in this family was strange enough when we started; all hustle and bustle, here and there, this way and that... but I've kinda gotten used to this whole "crazy" thing everyone keeps talking about. I mean, really, who lets a one-year-old play with tools?
Wherever Daddy is working, I'm working. Besides, all of my toys are in Micah's room and that's a long way away in my world!
Having no kitchen cabinet doors isn't so rough. Aslynn and I have better access to the pots and pans so we can help Mommy out here and there. Besides, she's been working every once in a while in the evenings at a greenhouse for fun, and Daddy really needs help with his cooking.
Of course, we know a thing or two about good cooking. I made cookies just yesterday! Mommy told me I can't use the kitchen power tools anymore though.
Just thinking about all of this extra work makes me sleepy. After all, I just learned how to walk - try teaching me to sand walls, rip off wallpaper, use my tush to clean up all of the drywall dust, cook, and stay away from all the hazard that come with renovating a place, and I'm on overload! Oh well, I'd better rest up. Besides, the more I sleep, the faster the house changes. Imagine that!
I
was
soooo
mad
I
screamed
I yelled for help, so Daddy came rushing in and picked me up. Of course, my thumb was still stuck in the track. It came out and I stopped crying. Yeah, I was more worried than anything. The blood was nothing. You should have seen the look on Micah and Aslynn's faces when I showed them my cut! I didn't care in the least. But Daddy insisted that I wear a band-aid. I hated that thing. I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

Sounds like you've got a lot of renos on the go! Are you getting the new cupboards or are you repainting them? Hope it all goes well! We're in the middle of our own mess right now too ... blue boxes have invaded my living room ;o)
