We had a friend post one of these on Facebook and invited us to respond. I thought it would be funny, so I interviewed our kids about Mommy on Saturday afternoon. In their own words, this is what they told me.
1. What is something your mom always says to you?
M- I don’t know. (Micah said this often, and I don't think he was referring to what Faith says).
A- Listen and obey her.
J- 2,3,4
2. What makes Mom happy?
M- When we give her gifts.
A- When we obey her. It makes her very happy when we obey her and listen to her.
J- Chicken nugget. And French fries.
3. What makes Mom sad?
M- When we don’t listen.
A- When we don’t obey her or listen to her.
J- Waa, waa. (Sound effects)
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
M- Tickle us.
A- Tickle. I mean giggling.
J- Chicken nugget.
5. What was your mom like as a child?
M- Little. She had a sister.
A- I adopted her.
J- Chicken nugget.
6. How old is your mom?
M- 30.
A- 13. Maybe 12.
J- (blank stare)
7. How tall is your mom?
M- Medium sized. I don’t know.
A- Up to the calendar. Up to my head.
J- Judah.
8. What is her favorite thing to watch on TV?
M- Figure skating.
A- Mommy and Daddy things. And kids things for kids.
J- TV. Watch French Fries. Car cars.
9. What does your mom do when you're not around?
M- Fold laundry, I think.
A- Clean the house and when I’m back mommy will make lunch and we will eat it. Unless it’s macaroni.
J- Not here.
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
M- I don’t know.
A- I don’t know.
J- Scary. (None of them could figure out what it meant to be "famous")
11. What is your mom really good at?
M- Folding laundry.
A- Folding laundry. Making lunch and hot dogs. Hot dogs to eat on our ears.
J- Chicken nugget.
12. What is your mom not very good at?
M- Skating backwards.
A- Not good doing backwards.
J- Chugga chugga woo woo.
13. What does your mom do for her job?
M- Operation Christmas Child. (He also said, “Hey she did used to work there!” in reference to Judah’s comment)
A- By cleaning the house. You work at the flower shop. (Greenhouse)
J- A chicken nugget.
14. What is your mom's favorite food?
M- I was gonna guess Chinese.
A- Salad? And hot dogs
J- Chicken nugget.
15. What makes you proud of your mom?
M- That she makes our food.
A- She gives gifts to me. I like my cake and my tambourine.
J- Do.
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
M- Bugs Bunny. I don’t know.
A- Tinkerbell.
J- Sally. Cory.
17. What do you and your mom do together?
M- Go to school sometimes on Fridays. Do homework.
A- I cook berry cookies.
J- I don’t know
18. How are you and your mom the same?
M- We both have some adult teeth.
A- By helping me get better (I don't think she understood the question. Either that or I didn't understand what she was getting at).
J- Say Amen.
19. How are you and your mom different?
M- She’s a girl and I’m a boy.
A- I want some water. Can I have some water?
J- No no no no no no. Yeah.
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
M- She cares for me.
A- Cause she likes me to get happy.
J- Mmmmmmmwa. (Lips pursed in a kiss)
21. What does your mom like most about your dad?
M- That you watch what she wants to watch.
A- She likes you but I don’t know.
J- Daddy. Mommy. Chicken nugget.
22. Where is your mom's favorite place to go?
M- Cayman Islands.
A- McDonalds. I mean, Chinese.
J- Grandma.
