Do you think we did too much? I don't know. We only spent the entire day at the zoo the previous day. And today we again employed the brilliant strategy of distributing food at regular intervals throughout the day. The Judah-monster did pretty good considering he was only two. Who knew that there were 20 or so decent rides he could tackle? I was pretty impressed. Aslynn was allowed to go on just one more ride than Judah! Of course, Judah is only three inches shorter than her. Let's not talk about how much they weigh comparatively - she's a girl, after all, and they aren't supposed to reveal their weight or their age, are they?
(By the way, Faith and Micah are next to the spread-eagled guy).
We got them going first thing and didn't wait for long for most rides. At one point most of the park cleared out when it started sprinkling - then raining. Good thing we brought our happy faces and our umbrellas! Judah had a nap in the stroller during that. He was pretty tired after screaming on the mini-coaster and the one twirly ride he hated. Aslynn freaked out when her precious pink hat flew off while she and I were on the Wave Rider, but I calmed her down to the laughing point by telling her that the wind couldn't blow it past the fences. The only wind we were experiencing was from the ride, but she wouldn't have understood that. She also spent one ride all alone and refused to get off until someone rode it with her. It was cute, actually. And Judah, well, he wanted to ride the roller coaster with Micah even though he couldn't handle the mini-coaster and didn't measure up for the big one. No, that wasn't going to stop him!
We got around the park so well that Micah only missed out on one ride, the Bumper Boats. Of course, he has the memory of an elephant when he wants to, and won't let us forget either. I convinced him to ride the big corkscrew roller coaster with me. After that, Riley was convinced he could do it too. They really didn't chicken out on much. Micah rode the coaster three times before the end of the day, and while it was raining there were virtually no wait times for rides. We only really got soaked on the last ride of the day on the log ride, Shoot the Chutes. It was a drenching experience. It's always a blast to watch your friends get wet in front or behind you.
Overall, we'd have to rate this one 9 thumbs up (Judah isn't quite the thrill-seeker the rest of us have turned out to be). And hey! I didn't hurl this time even though I was suffering from some flu-like symptoms! Last time I was at Callaway - never mind. I've probably told that story before...
