Olympic Torch Relay

It's so nice to go outside and not worry about putting gloves on! The warm weather that the meteorologists predicted actually happened. I've found that they have about a 50/50 chance of actually getting it right over three days here in Saskatchewan. Faith and I say that anyone who fails out of school in that department probably moves to Saskatchewan, because you can almost guarantee that it will be windy, cold, and dry most of the winter. Either that or they move to Yellowknife (where there are so many jobs for people in that field).

It was beautiful yesterday when the Olympic Torch Relay came through our little town of Caronport. I was surprised by the number of RCMP vehicles in the parade (overkill, if you ask me). Coca-Cola and RBC handed out little flags, tambourines, and drinks to celebrate the occasion. Micah, Aslynn, and I ran with the torchbearer up until they made their exchange in town. Then we went home and continued our game of Cities and Knights of Catan with Brian and Janice.

It's supposed to be warm all week long. Thanks for answering our prayers, God!
