Poor Judah came up with an long list of people who he wanted to have at his birthday party. Unfortunately most of them don't live close by - at all. So we convinced him to think of some of the kids from church that he would have over. He finally came up with two names and we invited them and their families over for supper on Tuesday night. We only let him invite 2 kids and their families because that already meant 13 extra people in our house and I wasn't sure we should do more than that.
As is pretty common here when we ask our children what they want for their birthday they spend more time thinking about cakes then they do gifts. Judah wanted train and Lightning McQueen, both of which he had for the last two years, so we finally went online to look at pictures of cakes and he decided that he wanted a road construction cake ..... with Lightning.
So here we are in the process of decorating the cake.
We put the finishing touches on it the next day and it looked like this:
Then we took care of the important task of blowing out candles and eating cake; and as you'll see Judah licked off Lightning's tires and turned his tongue black.
We had a fun party and our little man is now 4!!!
I guess I'll have to buckle down and look into preschool for him for the fall now.
