Mark is heading to Peru this summer with 9 high school kids and 2 other leaders. Tomorrow is their biggerst fund raiser for the trip. They are planning a silent and live action. Everyone on the team was supposed to go around to buisness and other people and get donations of items for the auction. This went better for some people than others. On Monday it wasn't looking so good. We didn't have enough stuff. So Mark and I got on the phone, drove around the city almost everyday and hunted down some auction items. Tonight it looks like we may have panicked to soon. We have enough stuff now.
But in the meantime I wanted to do my part for the auction. I decided to that I would donate a custom made birthday cake and printed off pictures of cakes that I have done in the past. I also decided to make a baby quilt. I had some material left from Aslynn's quilt last year and found a cute picture of a quilt on line. So I copied it. This is the quilt I made this week for the auction.
Isn't it cute? I hope it sells well. I'm a bit nervous because I've never sold anything I've ever made before. I'm not an expert and it's not perfect. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
