After three days of babysitting my children gave to me...

Yeah.

They were pretty good, actually. No horror stories. No-one died, people were generally respected and sitters came away without injury. In the last three days our kids were watched by other people for a grand total of 18 hours. And it was hard for us to take. We like our kids.

Judah has been cuddling. A lot. With both of us home, he and Aslynn have tried to get their words out and attention in which just means that they're stepping all over each other, talking loudly over top of one another, and interrupting each other. And it has been difficult to get food into them because they have this need to talk to us. Funny how kids want their parents to know what they care about and what happened at this age. Mostly. I don't really look forward to that changing...

So we'll fill you in on the details of the past days' events, maybe post date them so this one ends up on top and the rest are in date order. Faith's birthday got swallowed up in all of it which she says is typical and I say is disappointing.

Last night was an elder prayer meeting - wives invited - to Pastor Bill's house for snacks and fun and prayer. We rode in the backseat of our 'sitter's parents' car there and back. Definitely convenient that we are on the board together. And their son who watched our children says that they're always great for him (he's 14) and that he can't figure out why anyone would have any trouble with them. Judah almost always does better for boys. Except the night of the Nativity where he was calling out "Hi Daddy!" to an unresponsive inn keeper on-stage until a male friend of ours took him out to the nursery. He told me that he has a lot more respect for Faith now...
