Micah, age 10, going into Grade 5 at Greystone Middle School. Mugshot? I think so. He has a male teacher (Mr. Bruce Wayne Kolody - no joke) and two of his best school buddies in his class. Sweet!
Aslynn, age 7, going into Grade Two at Brookwood Elementary School. Attitude.
Both kids did great. Faith settled Micah into his class, which didn't take nearly as long as it took me to find Aslynn's class. Fortunately for me, there was a protest happening at the next-door apartment complex against parents who use their parking stalls during school hours. I came early, drove onto the grass since the parking lot for the school is simply to small, and walked her into the school with Judah in tow. Judah did very well and stayed with us the whole time. We discovered that Aslynn only has three kids from her previous classes with her in Mrs. Harrison's class, but we think she will be okay. She's socially adept, generally. There was also confusion about which doors she was to leave from. A parents mentioned to me the red doors, which weren't the Grade Two doors, and neither of those were right. Apparently she uses the Grade 3 green doors. Yowsa.

Bruce Wayne? Really? I guess Batman wasn't as popular in the era of his teacher's age, but still. That's an awesome name for a teacher to Grade 5 though!
Finally read your wonderful blog...you two are amazing parents, and I love how you're raising our grandchildren with such dedication to helping them be healthy, well adjusted, and trusting God with their lives. Thanks for sharing details of each of these treasures with us!
Love you all, Mom and Dad
