Thirteen mini chocolate bar wrappers were strewn throughout his sheets, blankets, under his bed, etc. Now, to give Judah credit, he knew that these chocolate bars were 'safe' - they didn't contain artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours, or preservatives. On the other hand - 13 chocolate bars?!? The caffeine and sugar rush he was on must have been nuts! He hid the evidence, did not give accurate accounting, and was more than a little crazy. But then again, that's what 13 chocolate bars will contribute to, especially when you know you've done something wrong. Alas, he's not an angel.
Anyway, during the rest of their visit we went to West Edmonton Mall and let the kids play at the gigantic play structure in Galaxyland. They didn't let Micah in because of his height, so I had him take his shoes off and straightened out the lady's ruler on his 'fro so she could see that he was clearly an inch below the line. I think my angry face worked on her. Unfortunately it doesn't work on many people, especially my kids. After we finished there, we went over to Sea Lions' Rock and took in the show from the cheap seats up above. Then we had supper out at Boston Pizza and took in a swim at the hotel they were staying at. All in all it was a fun weekend. But 13 chocolate bars? Really?
P.S. A few days later five more wrappers appeared and we hid the chocolate.
