Grandma Nation got to watch the kids on Tuesday night while Mommy was working and Daddy was at a meeting. When we got home she shared this story with us.
Micah had to go to bed that night without his blankets. He and Grandma had searched every corner of the house but alas, they were not to be found. So to bed without blankets and teddy's he went. About and hour later he came downstairs and climbed into Grandma's lap.
Big Brown Eyes looked as her and said "I'm soooo sad Grandma."
'Why Micah?'
'I miss my blankets, where are they?'
'Well, I think that they went on an adventure'
'Where to Grandma?'
'Well, I think they went to Pakistan.'
'Grandma, what's Pakistan like?'
This was followed be a detailed description of Pakistan, India, the hockey book Mom got him on her last holiday, where they got it from, which led to a great conversation about Halifax and boats I guess. Finally Mom decided it was her turn to ask the questions.
'Tell me about your friends at school' she tried.
'I like Hailey, but Kaitlyn doesn't like it when I hold Hailey's hand.'
Grandma tries not to laugh.
'Are you friends with Hailey'
'Yes, she's funny.'
Pause
'I hold Hailey's hand two times, but Josh holds her hand three times.'
A sad upset look crossed Micah's face and at this point grandma who was having a hard time not laughing decided to send Micah back to bed.
