Jim & Heather

We think they're the cause of all this mess, I guarantee it. They and Auntie Cheryl predicted that the baby would come right when they were down to see us. They nailed it. The day we left for Judah's arrival was the day they arrived at our house! Of course, we had the keys and they were locked out. SO... we sent them to Joy's where she fed them supper and then mom let them into the house for night with her key. Great hosts, aren't we? Cousins rock. I came home that night to Heather walking up the stairs half asleep to give me a hug and say, "Welcome home."

Faith was of course at the hospital in Red Deer that night. In the morning I helped get them ready to head out for an excursion to the American border for a 'flag-pole' (basically a U-turn at the border to get to Canada Customs & Immigration there). They had even brought their own food so I couldn't feed them anything. I think my kids ate some of theirs before I shipped them off to Grandma's that morning. I went to Red Deer to see Judah and Faith, and returned home to find them vacuuming the house and cleaning the bathrooms and doing dishes. We were so blessed just to have them there and wished we could've spent more time with them. (We locked them out of the house that night too.)

In the morning I went to church to lead worship and left the kids with them for a while. Just until Auntie Joy was done Sunday School and could take care of them, that is. They left for Red Deer to see us there. We hadn't really visited all weekend! They then took us out for coffee and donuts to relieve us from staring at the unchanging monitors above Judah's bed. And then off they went for some fun in Edmonchuck.

I hope they had a great time. I hope they're getting these updates. I hope they know how much we appreciated all they did and put up with. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you....
