A Morning in bed with Mommy

These events did not occur today but can be found almost every morning in my room, or after a much needed nap.

Micah comes into my room and snuggles up unknowingly placing his cold feet on my legs. I move him over a little bit and try to ignore the fact that it is morning and go back to sleep. Aslynn, the morning person, comes in very happily. "Hi Mommy, Hi Micah" Aslynn climbs into bed and puts her cold feet on me. I'm still stying to ignore the fact that it is indeed morning. Aslynn & Micah start talking. Micah decides he needs his blankets and teddy's and heads back to his room to return with 3 blankets and 6 stuffed animals. Aslynn climbs over my head, sitting on it in the process with a very wet diaper. Aslynn steals one of Micah's animals. Micah yells at her and steals it back. Aslynn cries. Micah heads to Aslynn's room to get her her own teddy's. He returns with 3 more blankets and 3 more stuffed animals. Aslynn only wants Micah's animals. They fight. Mommy threatens them that they will go back to their own beds if they fight. Both children climb under Mommy's blankets, stealing most of them from Mommy in the process. They make a fort under the blankets and spend the next 5 minutes playing under their. Aslynn gets board and comes out. Micah gets mad because Aslynn is not playing any more. Mommy tells Micah not to worry about it. Aslynn heads over to the bed side table. She picks up the phone and pretends to phone Grandma. Mommy tells her to put the phone down. Aslynn does but can't quite get it hung up and soon we hear the beeping sound that means the phone is off the hook. Mommy moves at this point and hangs the phone back up. Aslynn & Mommy cuddle back under the blankets. Aslynn lays still just long enough for Mommy to relax and heads back to the bedside table. This time it is the radio which holds her attention and she accidentally figures out how to turn it on, but only after the volume has been cranked up. Micah is scared and gets mad at Aslynn again. Mommy has to sit up and turn the radio off. Judah wakes up in the commotion and joins us in bed. Micah & Aslynn both are delighted to see Judah and give him lots of hugs and kisses. Aslynn lays on top of Judah in her delight to hug him and Judah is squished and cries again. Aslynn says sorry lots and tries to kiss Judah better. Micah gets upset that Aslynn is hugging Judah and wants a turn. Mommy decided that maybe it is time to get up and tries to chase the children off her bed. Both kids decide they are still sleepy and cuddle back under the blankets. Mommy and Judah get out of bed and head to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
