Judah's 3 Month Checkup

For those of you unaware of our situation, our son Judah has had an adventurous first few months of life with us. We went and saw his cardiologist today for Judah's check-up so we could determine what our next course of action should be.

We were slightly anxious, but also excited to hear what they would say. Dr. Dicke would give us the final prognosis after we saw a few nurses for his EKG, and another resident regarding his current state and reviewing his history.

He charmed everyone. He was all smiles the whole way through. 12 lbs 13 oz worth of smiles, to be exact. Nothing phased him. Not the 13 or so stickies and cables they attached to his chest and then pulled off, not the removing his clothes to weigh and measure his length, not the doctors' poking and prodding and taking his pulse in multiple places - not even the blood pressure cuff that gripped his arm so tightly!

He did great. And although we barely understood the first doctor, he was nice. And Dr. Dicke is great to talk to.

Apparently for Judah's size, he is now well under the recommended dosage of his meds and has had no issues (SVT's) since he was in the hospital. All good news. And his heart rhythm is perfectly normal as are his heart rate, pulses, and regularity. So, when we come towards the end the next 3 months, we can decrease his meds to half for a week and then cut it out completely! If there are no problems and his next EKG and halter monitor go well following that, we get to say that he's 100% healthy! WHOO HOO!

And Judah is still all smiles. Good job, buddy!

He does look like he's growing like a weed and totally healthy and happy. You must be so relieved. What a blessing.
