Not gloating. Just excited to go home. We love it here in Calgary, but my family is up there and I miss them. We're pretty tight. Crazy runs thick in the blood.

People used to (or perhaps still do) think we're crazy for driving 8 hours north for 'just a weekend'. I thought they were crazy for thinking that we're crazy. Not to say that we aren't or they aren't. It's just ... maybe they don't realize what a good thing we have. Not everyone has family like we do. They are rather exceptional when you consider so many other families out there that can't stand each other. We more than tolerate each other. We enjoy one another. We love each other. We know each other and want to get together whenever we can. We aren't exclusive or snooty or generally not nice people. We have so much fun together. When someone hasn't been home in a while, we celebrate. We make fun of each other and tell jokes.

We love each other. What more could you ask for?
