You'll never guess what woke me up this morning...

I don't need coffee to get me going in the morning. Besides, caffeine makes me sleepy. No, a little adrenaline rush is the way to go. I'm going to put this off as long as possible. Naw, I won't. You'll think I'm making it up anyway.

At 5:30 AM I was stung by a bumblebee. On the finger. At least it wasn't on the face. So I swatted him to the floor and sat up, waking up Faith in the process. Or was it the incredibly loud, tell-tale buzzing coming from the side of my bed that woke her, horrifically similar to that of my alarm clock going off? I hate that noise. I get mad when I find out I accidentally bumped the switch too far and hear that at 7:00 AM - let alone 5:30 AM.

Oh yeah, did I mention it stung me? I couldn't believe it. Peaceful sleep, meet your nightmare! It wasn't really that bad. The thing that shocked me more was that it was a bumblebee, not a wasp, not a hornet, not a honeybee, a BUMBLEBEE. I always thought they didn't sting! When I finally got out of bed, it was coming back for more. I grabbed one of Judah's hats and picked him up, walked downstairs, and sent him outside. I soon realize that I can't get back to sleep.

So, the sting swells rapidly and I start feeling itchy and my mouth is dry and ... JUST KIDDING!! Had you going though. No, it disappeared within moments and I just wound up all wound up. Judah woke up at 6:30 AM so I fed him and started taking our digital pictures and editing them all so we can make prints. My other computer ate the ones it was so nicely keeping for me, so I figured I ought to trust the other one. Right. And get the pictures off as soon as possible. I don't want to be stung. Again.

Wow what a day. Sorry to hear about the bee sting. I once was driving in the car with the window rolled down and a bee flew in and DOWN MY PANTS. I have never swerved so hard in my life....like I was totally drunk. Pulled over and batted at my pants like they were on fire. The little bugger stung me too. But I killed it. SO HA! I got the last word. Stupid bee.
