This is the time of year that everyone sets in motion things that they hope will make their world and life a better place in the next year. I guess I'm the same, but not. Oh it's not like I don't want to eat better, exercise more, spend more time with my kids, or all those other things that people seem to resolve. It's just that I have something bigger and better in mind. Yes, you see I resolve to .... Blog more.
Yep that's it. I resolve to spend more time at my computer ignoring the world around me and attempting to entertain you with funny stories. You see it's all about the reason we began to blog in the beginning. Not so that you would have a funny story to read today, but so that we could keep track of the things going on around us. I'm a horrible paper journaller. But this blog thing, I can do this. I am saddened by the number of funny stories about our life that are forever lost in my memory before I began blogging. I think that all of you blog readers would have to admit that there have been a shortage of stories to read from us lately. It's not because they are not happening. Rather it's because we have needed a time of inward focusing. You are all aware of what has been going on with us in the last year. I'll be the first to admit that it has not been a fun ride. We have been left swirling in the unknown and spent many hours with a counselor attempting to sort things out. All of this has left us with some rather depressing and dark moments that to be honest we thought best not to share. Those things are not really fun to read or write anyways. But in the meantime we have also missed out on recording many of the other moments that occur in our life. So I strive this year to be a better recorder of life. I need to spend more time looking beyond the darkness and celebrating the moments that make us a family. I hope that you enjoy. I also hope that the year 2008 is not nearly the rollercoaster that 2007 was.
