It was one of those days with the kids. The three of them got together this morning and decided to play Mommy Yo-Yo. It's a great game. The three of them wind Mommy up all day long. They wind and wind and wind, and than the three of them look at each other and let go of the string. They let the Mommy Yo-Yo go and bounce it back and forth between them. They like to do this until the Mommy Yo-Yo breaks. I'm not quite sure why they go this far. At the point that the Mommy Yo-Yo breaks all three children usually receive spankings and get time outs in their bedroom.
After a lively game of Mommy Yo-Yo the kids all got a nap and rested up for our evening out. Micah and I headed to the baseball game, and Judah and Aslynn went to a BBQ with Grandma & Grandpa before joining us at the game. The baseball game was supposed to start at 7:00 and so we planned to be there at 6:30.
Micah was soooo excited about the game. We grabbed supper at McDonald's and ate on the way. When we arrived at 6:20 we were surprised to find out that the game had already started, at 6:00. Great publicity and communication, guys. Just wondering if you really want people to come out and watch you get walked all over by Edmonton or not. The final result was at least a 11-1 (perhaps 12-1) blowout by the Edmonton Cracker-Cats (what a dumb name for anything, especially a baseball team).
Despite the loss Micah & I enjoyed watching the game together. Grandma & Grandpa arrived at 7:45. As they pulled into the parking lot the game was in the bottom of the seventh inning. I thought this was perfect timing as the two little ones would only have to watch two innings. We MIGHT be able to convince Judah to sit still for that long.
Imagine my surprise when the game ended after the 7th inning and everyone headed home. Aslynn, Judah, Grandma & Grandpa missed the whole game. Oh well. They weren't as excited about it anyways. We'll just have to find something special for Aslynn to do.
