Judah almost flat out refuses to take a bath these days. From the incessant begging to the shrieks of discontent, I almost feel sorry for him. He acts like taking a bath is some kind of horror movie come to life! I got him clean last night - barely. He won't even willingly get into the tub with his big brother or sister. But I think I know where all of this stems from.
Faith and I were talking at the table shortly before the kids bedtime the one night. Judah and Aslynn were in the tub with the water running. Suddenly, we hear this blood-curdling screaming pulsating from the bathroom. We looked at each other and then sprinted down to the end of the trailer, expecting some form of blood, gore, or mayhem. As I entered, I saw Aslynn scrambling out of the back side of the tub, unable to string together a coherent sentence. Judah is still screaming from inside the tub, so I went to rescue him from his meltdown.
Apparently, Judah had gotten curious with the taps, and turned on the cold water. No big deal. He got in trouble for that the week before and ended up taking a cold bath. (By the way, we never worry about the hot water scalding them, because it barely has enough pressure to get out of the tap on a good day due to our decrepid hot water tank). Well, Judah tried to correct his mistake through trial and error in the most mechanical sense. What he got was a cold shower. Literally.
It was rather hilarious seeing the two kids shivering in the bathroom. We wrapped them in towels and calmed them down as much as we could. Then we waited three hours - okay, 10 minutes - for the water to warm up again, and tried to put them back in the tub. Judah refused. He was more than insistent. He was completely and utterly hysterical. I got him bathed, but it was like trying to wrestle a greased pig on a rainy day. I think I got about as wet as he did by the end of it.
So, Judah is scared of the bath. It's his own fault, really, but I don't think he understands that. He keeps pointing up at the shower and making some unintelligible comments about it before he stomps his little feet and makes an attempt to escape the wrath of the tub.

Awwwwwwwwwww.......... :(
Poor guy!!!!
Tooo funny though as well!!! lol
Funny the things that freak them out. I'm pretty sure Caleb refused to get haircuts because he watched the Babar movie and when Babar gets his first buzz cut the clippers look like a bunch of big teeth. I had to cut his hair myself for the longest time.
That is so funny!!!
Poor Judah!
That is like when Noah was scared of the radio because once he played with the tuner button and the volume and got a LOUD hearful of static!!
