"Daddy, I want my carrots!" - Judah
(He was terribly distraught over losing his 'carrots', which were in fact Cheezies.)

As has become our Caronport tradition for Halloween, we left town to trick-or-treat in Moose Jaw so that we could avoid ridicule and actually find candy. We chose the same crescent as last year and made a haul once again. It was rather frigid but the kids seemed to manage even with the wind bringing tears to their eyes. After giving each child a cup of Tim Hortons hot chocolate mixed with chocolate milk which ended up all over them and the van somehow in the dark, we returned to Caronport to see a few people we knew who were actually handing out candy. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of people who turned on their lights, set out pumpkins, and welcomed us at their door! By the time we were through, the cold wind had zapped all strength from our kids. By 7:30 PM we had already sorted out our candy stash. After each had a treat (like Judah's carrots), they shipped off to bed in exhaustion. Or, we thought it was just exhaustion...

The night before all of this, we as a family went to a party at the church where everyone dressed up and brought candy as well. It was pretty cute. I chased our little dinosaur around the church most of the time, though he turned out to be a dragon and started attacking a knight at one point. Everyone played card and board games while Judah tried to interrupt and dismantle them in his own way. We had a lot of fun! Between the two events, Aslynn switched outfits because she got frustrated with the length of her dress and we had to hem it in between.
Obviously, Micah was Jerome Iginla, Aslynn was a pretty princess in pink, and Judah was, well, let's go with Godzilla. It suits him. We had a great time.
