Yesterday I forgot to tell you that I dragged Faith to an MB Youth Pastors Lunch that we weren't invited to. I figured the least they could do was give us some free food for our troubles (how Mennonite of me). The salad and Chicken Florentine were wonderful! We really knew no-one there, but had a good visit with the one couple we shared a table with. I informed the one gentleman from the Canadian Conference of our last pastorate (sparing many of the details for time and comfort's sake) and he may be able to help me with my last paper at school.

As you can see, today Faith and I went to a sushi bar (Tsunami Sushi) and had a great lunch. The sushi rode around the bar on little boats and you got charged by the plate. Besides having to 'catch' your meal as it floated past, Faith discovered that she liked it more than she thought she would and asked a couple of times if we could go back again. I thought we should try other things - I loved the sushi though.

Tonight we ate out at a fairly good Thai place. Apparently the princess of Thailand eats there when she comes to town. I thought that most of the Thai food we eat in Regina is comparable, if not better, but their red curry pork in coconut milk was just the right amount of heat and sweet. Perfect. I know I'm talking a lot about food and little about the convention, but we decided when we were here not to eat at places that we could anywhere nearby, and it's been a bit of an adventure. Perhaps I'll fill you in further tomorrow on the details of the CYWC. Until then, maybe I'll go get a 'Japadog'. Faith and I plan on hitting the Granville Island Market tomorrow for fun, and we'll be eating breakfast with a whole crew of people from our current church (Moose Jaw Alliance) where I'm volunteering as the worship leader for the youth group.
