Unfortunately Riley is hiding behind Jim in this action shot at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. We had a really good time there. It wasn't nearly as much walking as the Calgary Zoo, but it had some good hills. I would say it was rather "interactive". We watched their birds of prey in action for a while, met Lucy the elephant as she went walking by us on the people paths with some trainers, and saw some alpacas get into a scrap. Some of the critters in our campground got a little frisky too. It was fun and educational - I think the boys said that the squirrels were playing cowboys, and we're going to just go with it - just go with it.
