I've been avoiding the blog lately. For several reasons actually. I'm too lazy to write anything, I'm out of blogging practice.....
The main reason has to do with that date up there. See what it says?? Yep, January 2011. Which means that I should write the 'New Year's Resolution' blog.
I hate New Year's Resolutions. There suppose to be firm ideas of what you hope to change or do in the next year. They never work.
NEVER.
I mean really.....
A year is a LONG time. Until you get to December that is and then the year seems really short. But right now it's looking long.
I had some ideas for things I wanted to do in 2010. I started out well, and then fizzeled.
A year is a LONG time.
So I have a new idea for this year, being as how the idea of a year is a tad overwhelming. See there are a lot of things that I wish I could do better this year, or more of this year. And trying to write them all down and do all of them at once is just, let's face it, not only overwhelming, but not going to happen. So I think that I'm going to take this one at a time, one month at a time. Of course now that I'm writing this down it means that I have to be accountable. Mostly to me, but also to you, my faithful 3 blog readers.
So one thing each month to concentrate on, that should be easier to handle. Of course I hope to incorporate other things into each month, and continue to do the past months thing in the next month. But one thing a month seems so much easier to handle than a million things for a year.
Of course being as how I've been avoiding the blog I'm behind already. But seeing as how it is my blog and my resolutions I get to make the rules.
So I'll start on January 10th.
For the first month I would like work on doing devotions everyday.
I'll try to let you guys know what's going on.
And not avoid the blog anymore.

I'm IN! You can do it!! I too find a year too hard to plan and have goals for. I either forget them by Feb or just find I have different priorities. A year is a LONG time. So much can change in that amount of time. And you're right, when it's Dec. it seems short. Alas, I am going to make goals for this month too. I'll be checking in on you! :-)
