Rained out

While Calgarians enjoyed their parade and pancakes last weekend we were hoping to make some new and fun memories here in Edmonton. And then on Thursday night while we contemplated going downtown on Friday morning it started raining. No problem we thought on Friday morning. We lazed around the house, had a late breakfast and headed to THE MALL for a few hours to entertain ourselves. We had planned supper and gardening out at Everett's that night. As we drove out the skies continued to dump on us. And there was no gardening. Just hanging out at Everett's and eating supper with him. Still no problem we thought. We will go into the city on Saturday. The street performer's festival is on and we are curious to check it out.
On Saturday it rained. All day. And my husband cut not one but two useless holes in our walls in an attempt to fix a leaking tap in the bathtub.
On Sunday it sprinkled, but held off long enough for the Peru team to come over for an indoor BBQ. We would have eaten outside, but apparently our yard has turned into a mosquito breeding ground.
On Monday it rained off and on.
Tuesday morning. Still rain. Although today it actually stopped for the afternoon and the kids rode around the cul-de-sac on their bikes. Mark is heading out to Everett's tonight to do some work in the garden.
We are crossing out fingers and hoping that this weekend is nice. A few rain free days to play outside again would be great. And I think I may have to mow my grass, or just bring in a hay cutter and make some bales.
