Out of the mouths of Babes.

Mark and I were sitting at the table the other day. We were surrounded by huge piles of school supplies; paper, notebooks, crayons, glue, etc. And we were doing the task that all parents hate. Having dumped out 3 boxes of pencils we were systematically sharpening by hand, and labeling 72 individual pencils. Judah wanted to help, but was just getting in the way when all of a sudden he commented;
"We're rich aren't we?"

I laughed and relied with a definite NO. I attempted to explain how God has given us everything we need in life and more, but we couldn't be considered 'rich'.

Judah responded with,

"But look at all the pencils we have. We're rich, we have lots of pencils."

And I thought, 'good point.'

Aren't we rich indeed that I can go out and buy 72 pencils, never mind all the other supplies, and not be worried that I won't be able to feed my child supper that night.

We have lots of pencils, so we are indeed rich.
