Day 2 - Fort Steele with Steve & Shauna

We pulled into Cranbrook last night around 10 pm and stayed up until close to midnight. We woke up this morning after 8 am (praise the Lord!) with a bright and bushy-tailed Judah ready to go and proclaiming, "I don't feel sick in my stomach any more!" We kept him in our room through the night to observe and protect. He made a number of funny noises, including a moment or two of sleep-talking. "No, don't take my car away. Oh - wait - I was dreaming. I just don't want them to take my car." That's normal for Judah though. After that, we had a relaxing morning, packed lunches, and headed out to Fort Steele.

We had a great few hours wandering around and listening to Steve, who worked and lived there with Shauna, tell tales that were outright farces and had the kids eating out of his hand. It's a good thing  Micah has figured out sarcasm. Aslynn was simply confused, and Judah was oblivious. They ran about, climbed whatever they could, peered through all the windows, talked with the local actors, and ran on ahead of us several times just to see anything and everything they could.

We also handed the kids a camera. Ha! It was fun.

I never thought that I would have to tell a child, "The Bat-Cave stays in the boys' room."
