September is crazy.
School starts, and this year I have all three kids in school for two days a week. My house should be blissfully empty and quiet on those days. I should be able to bake and clean in peace. However I have found that I've only been home on three of those days out of the last 6 weeks. First there was helping at the church when the secretary was gone, then there is the extra shopping I have had to do to stock our pantry with Judah friendly food, and today a ride for a friend to a doctor's appointment turned into 5 hours at her house helping her because of medical issues.
I'm blissfully happy that September is over. The kids always settle in with attitudes and routine in October. Aslynn and I have started piano lesson's again and next week the boys will both begin hockey. And one week fades into the next and I forget to keep track of my life and events. So here's a quick recap of our September.
A wedding and bridal shower, open house for another newly married couple, 6 youth events, 2 young adult events, 2 different babysitters for church functions and not one date, thanksgiving with my family, 5 new Organic shopping places that I never knew existed, 2 birthday parties for friends, playground time with our old neighbor, and A Lot of time in my kitchen as I adjust to making even more things from scratch.
It's been busy all right, but also fun. And really not that different then other months. It actually seems worse when I lump it all together like that.
And so as the snow fell this week we may be able to say that fall is over, winter is coming and I get to spend more crazy time with our great family.
Oh, and I decided to start another blog with more information about Feingold and food issues that we are having here. So those of you who want to check it out here is the address.
