Aslynn squealed with delight when they would burst before her. She called them 'twinkle stars'. She was darting back and forth between Grandma and Mommy. Occasionally during the louder, continuous pops she would bury her face, but always come up grinning OR with a look of amazement and wonder and excitement. Her little 'o' shaped mouth and wide eyes was worth the lost sleep.
Earlier that day we were trying to play 500 with a flying ring (aerobie) and then resorted to using softballs and a bat with gloves. The ball would just hang in the air and you would have to chase it down as it spun and sailed back towards the batter. I put so many into the trees we made a rule: 3 in the trees and you'e out! I was actually relieved. Unfortunately, I caught the ball / aerobie a little too often and ended up making an example of how not to hit the ball.
It was so nice to be home with (almost) everyone. Owen Robert, our new nephew, brought his parents to see us. He's pretty cute, but looks awfully small next to Judah with his butterball cheeks. Judah IS average height, weight, and has an average head size. It's just amazing the difference 5 months makes on a child. He rolled over back to front on Saturday for the first time! Good work, son. Next step, food he won't spit up as much...

Micah also had a great comment when he was talking to Grandma one morning before breakfast. She was pulling jam out of the freezer to eat and he thought that was very funny. He also wanted to know if their jam was different from ours because they live on a different island than we do.
