Judah did great walking with us for about half of the time and than Mommy & Daddy took turns carrying him. He had a ice cream pail for his candy and was attempting to say 'Trick or Treat' by the end of the night. It seemed that chips were the treat of choice this year for many houses, and then there are of course the cans of pop or juice boxes. Both of these things are heavy and took up a lot of room in his little pail. So Mark & I decided at one point that we would just pull out all the bags of chips and the pop and keep them in the bottom of the stroller that we had with us. So I bent over and grabbed those items from Judah's pail. Well you would think that the end of the world had come. The tears fell, the howls started. He was extremally upset that I would dare to violate his pail by taking something out of it. I quickly put the chips back in the pail. I had hoped that he wouldn't notice that I still had his pop. He did. The tears would not stop until I had returned both items to his pail. After this incident Mark & I got very good at sneaking items out of his pail without him noticing. He wouldn't let us help him carry it, so we had to lighten it for him every once in awhile.
Mark likes an excuse to dress up for Halloween as well and was very happy for an excuse to wear his army coat & hat. The kids were pretty impressed by the hat to!
We always dump all the kids candy together when we get home. It's not that the chocolate bars take up that much room, it's all those bags of chips. The fact that there are three children trick or treating has also improved the chances of Mommy and Daddy getting candy to eat to :)
