Judah's Theology

One day before we moved we had a interesting conversation with Judah. Mark was tucking him into bed one night when Judah told him that he had eaten one of the medicine pills  in the bathroom when he was getting ready for bed. (Before Grandparents start to worry he didn't actually have any medicine.) Mark was trying to explain to him that medicine was bad for him and that if he ate to much of it he would get very very sick and possibly die. Judah replied back that he wanted to go to heaven and see Jesus, so he was happy and ready to die. Mark then tried to reason with the three year old that we would go to heaven when Jesus wanted us to and that we shouldn't try to go sooner just because we wanted to. Judah promptly broke into tears crying and said, "But I want to see Jesus now!!!" I'm not quite sure how Mark responded without laughing, but he calmed Judah down and told him not to worry because he would evenually get to see Jesus.

Then the other night after our Bible story about Mary, Joseph, & baby Jesus escaping to Egypt after he was born, Judah offered this prayer:

'Dear God, please help baby Jesus on the camel, don't let him fall off it. Because if he falls off he would get really hurt and his Mommy, Mary, would have to get off and get him and that would be bad.'

He proceded to go on for a few more minutes about poor baby Jesus falling off camels and his mommy having to get him and make him better. So cute.
