Judah Stephen Jason Siebert

Can you believe he's five? I can hardly get my mind around it. He was so happy to get his presents. I know that he is still young, but I wish the other kids still had his enthusiasm when opening presents. I'd show you the video... maybe I can.

He was so happy to be turning five. Mostly just because it means that he's bigger. Or older. Closer to being a Daddy, in his words. Lately we've been having discussions with our kids about how they need to stop parenting each other and let us do the talking - they're rather opinionated and 'right' about everything, especially matters of fairness and justice (its no wonder kids like comic book heroes). Judah is also looking forward to losing a tooth. Every time Aslynn comes to us with another loose tooth - which is frequent - Judah has to show us one as well. "No honey, it's not ready yet. You'll have to wait another year or so." It's a new year, Mommy!

The basketball hoop was so that he could play like Micah, but still get the ball in the basket. Tonight he attempted a reverse slam dunk. He hit himself in the head with the ball, but no harm no personal foul. That came thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Nation and Kijiji. He has plans to spend the money he got today from Grandpa and Grandma Siebert on LEGO, a quad, and something else he mentioned. He would be thrilled to get two out of three anyways. Did you hear him?

Classic expression. Can you spot the mischief?

O Judah! You certainly bring a lot of life to our family. More than we can handle. And we love you. Happy fifth birthday, little man.
