This is a pretty cool place. We were invited to join my cousin Bryan and his two boys, Mason and Emerson, for the day at the H2O Centre in Kelowna. I've never seen a facility like it. There was a regulation lane swimming pool, 1 and 3 metre diving boards (two of each), three waterslides, a wave pool, a long lazy river, a kids play structure, an adjustable floor in one pool to change the depth of it, and the wave rider. It was all pretty cool.
The kids loved it! Normally we wouldn't be able to stay at a pool for more than a few hours, but we ended up staying for at least five hours. Judah was going non-stop. Aslynn was right behind him. Micah spent a lot of time with Bryan's boys as well.
Judah and Aslynn tried the wave rider out and had some pretty spectacular wipeouts, but they still came back to it. Aslynn was getting the hang of body boarding by the end. It took a lot of convincing to get Micah to try it. But in the end he did alright. I tried a few times - twice I tried standing but I just couldn't get the feel for it. The body boarding was fun. I tried doing a barrel roll but almost lost my shorts from the water pressure. Speaking of someone who did lose his shorts...
Grandpa and Grandma Siebert showed up and met us there! The kids were thrilled to have them come. They're on vacation as well, and we're so glad we could meet up. I didn't know until just hours before that they were even coming. I think in the few hours they were there our kids wore them out. We all had a good time together. Uncle Dave and Auntie Alvina were there in the morning and Great Grandma Siebert was there with Marilyn as well. The kids really wanted Great Grandma to be there and see what they were doing, so she felt like she couldn't disappoint them and the opportunity to come was there.
After our latest adventure, we headed back to Great Grandma's place for supper with my parents, played some games, and then headed to bed. It was a good time. I regret not having more pictures. I need to ask a few people for some photos of the H2O Centre and playing cards with Great Grandma.
